Artist Biography Powell was born in Tularose, New Mexico on April 3, 1912 at the age of one his family moved to Montana where he spent his formative years in Apgar in Glacier National Park. As a young man his parents were friends of Charles M Russell. Ace took private lessons from Russell. During his career Ace produced between 12,000 and 15,000 works of art.
